FORMATION OF A COLORISTIC MEDICAL TERM (ON THE EXAMPLE OF RUSSIAN, LATIN, GREEK AND GERMAN NAMES OF DISEASES)

Abstract

In the linguistic picture of the world, the issue of the formation of color names is relevant and highly promising. In medical terminology, color lexemes represent an independent layer of vocabulary, implemented through terms of ancient Greek and Latin origin. Coloronyms are not limited to the establishment of color values, but also participate in the creation of medical terms. Coloronyms are part of medical terminology as signs of nominations of anatomical objects, as well as various diseases, skin tone, names of blood cells, the appearance of the patient, the specifics of the body, while increasing the professional vision of a medical specialist. The article discusses Russian, Latin, Greek and German medical terms for the names of diseases, which include the concept of "color". To achieve this goal, the descriptive method, the method of analysis are used, as well as etymological interpretation and semantic analysis of dictionary definitions were used. Based on the conducted research, we saw that the symptoms and clinical manifestation of diseases affect the formation of a coloristic medical term. An attempt to classify these terms based on the established connection between the Russian and Latin names of diseases led to their division into groups, distinguished depending on the specifics of the word formation of disease names in relation to the connection of color and their external manifestation.
