When teaching English language, teachers often should try to draw their students' attention to the topic, consequently students can feel relaxation and they may have opportunity to learn much more at the same time.
Using English proverbs is considered as the most productive way in order to increase students' attention and start a new lesson.
This article is devoted to specific methodological characteristics of proverbs and the usage of them in different lesson stages. Moreover, data of teaching English strategies with the help of proverbs is given through definite examples.
