Ushbu maqolada turizmning axloqiy-estetik mohiyatini tadqiq etish jarayonida qo‘llaniladigan metodologik yondashuvlar har tomonlama tahlil qilingan. Maqolada turizmning inson ma’naviyati va estetik idrokidagi o‘rni fenomenologik, aksiologik hamda madaniy-falsafiy yondashuvlar asosida yoritiladi. Tadqiqotda turizm insonning ruhiy va axloqiy kamolotini ta’minlovchi, estetik zavqni uyg‘otuvchi va madaniy integratsiyani rivojlantiruvchi ijtimoiy hodisa sifatida talqin etiladi. Shuningdek, turizm jarayonida shakllanadigan estetik tajriba, qadriyatlar almashinuvi va shaxsiy o‘sish mexanizmlarining ilmiy asoslari tahlil qilinadi. O‘zbekiston sharoitida turizmni faqat iqtisodiy foyda manbai sifatida emas, balki inson kapitalini rivojlantiruvchi va ijtimoiy barqarorlikni ta’minlovchi ma’naviy-estetik tizim sifatida o‘rganishning dolzarbligi asoslab berilgan.
