Abstract

The subfamily Erebinae contains approximately 10,000 species worldwide. The study of the butterfly Catocala elocata, belonging to this subfamily, was carried out in 2022-2024 in the “Nature Monument” located in the Ezhiovonsky district of Central Fergana and the Vodilsky district of the Fergana district of Southern Fergana. The butterfly Catocala elocata was recorded for the first time in the Central and Southern Fergana region. Catocala elocata is a univoltine species whose butterflies fly from June to October. The active period of worms is May-June. The worms feed on and damage the leaves of plants such as Populus and Salix. A summer-autumn species belonging to a broad oligophagic, mesophilic ecological group in terms of food specialization. Overwinters in the egg stage from the second half of the autumn season.
