Abstract

The article examines Ernest Hemingway's The Sun Also Rises from the perspective of a lost generation and the lives of emigrants who flee their homeland in search of a new start, away from their problems caused by the First World War. The writer, who is also an expatriate member, writes, portrays the thoughts and lives of lost people with characters he has created. Thus, the reality of the life of emigrants is vividly reflected in Hemingway's novel, that one can see how things are with people who actually live as exiles in another country, and how they struggle to survive in life, even if they are physically or psychologically depraved war [5].
