In the article the aim and the content of developing communicative competence of ESP learners has been studied. The research findings of psycholinguists on developing communicative competence in foreign languages were discussed along with the current literature. The implications and suggestions on developing communicative competence of ESP learners were provided for a better foreign language teaching practice.
