Abstract

This article examines the impact of the conflict between Khwarazmshah Muhammad and Küchlüg on the history of Central Asia. It evaluates how this confrontation facilitated the Mongol conquest of Eastern Turkestan and Transoxiana from an academic perspective. Special attention is given to the Mongol military campaigns, Khwarazmshah Muhammad’s political strategy, and his unfulfilled expansionist plans. Additionally, the complex relations between the Qara Khitai state, Islamic communities, and the Mongols are analyzed. This research is based on historical sources and contemporary scholarly works, providing an in-depth analysis of the military-political processes of the early 13th century.
