
The article examines the issue of developing volitional qualities in senior school students using the competency-based approach. The aim of the research is to study the impact of the competency-based approach on the development of perseverance, goal orientation, self-control, and the ability to overcome difficulties among high school students. The experiment was conducted with the participation of 10th-grade students from two schools in the city of Fergana, who were divided into control and experimental groups. The results of the study are presented, confirming the effectiveness of implementing the competency-based approach.
