Mikroplastik ifloslanish suv ekotizimlariga, jumladan, Markaziy Osiyo daryolariga ta’sir etuvchi global ekologik muammodir. O‘zbekiston hududida joylashgan Farg‘ona vodiysi to‘qimachilik sanoati va qishloq xo‘jaligi faoliyati bilan bog‘liq yuqori antropogen yuklama bilan ajralib turadi. So‘nggi yillarda o‘zbek olimlari tomonidan o‘tkazilgan tadqiqotlar hududdagi daryolarda mikroplastiklarning sezilarli darajada mavjudligini aniqladi, bu esa ularning manbalari, tarqalishi va ekologik oqibatlarini o‘rganish zarurligini ko‘rsatadi. Ushbu tezis Farg‘ona vodiysi va Sirdaryoning irmoqlarida olib borilgan ishlar natijalarini umumlashtirib, O‘zbekiston olimlarining ushbu muammoni anglashdagi hissasini yoritadi.
