This article describes the emerging modern trends in linguistics and the fact that ecolinguistics is one of the current directions of Uzbek linguistics. And also about preserving the purity of the language, which is one of the problems of linguistics. The author dwells on some ecolinguistic phenomena in the novel by Otkir Hashimov “Dreams of past lives”
