PSYCHOLINGUISTIC FEATURES OF TRANSLATING COMMUNICATIVE ACTS IN CHINGIZ AYTMATOV'S NOVEL "FAREWELL, GULSARI!"

Abstract

This article is dedicated to the psycholinguistic analysis of the translation of communicative acts in Chingiz Aitmatov's novella "Farewell, Gulsary!" with a focus on the peculiarities of translating monologues, dialogues, and polylogues. The study examines how differences in language and culture influence the process of conveying the inner world of the characters, their emotional experiences, and social interactions in the context of translation. Special attention is paid to the challenges of preserving cultural realities, such as traditions, customs, and forms of address, and their adaptation into the target language. The article analyzes psycholinguistic aspects of translation, including cognitive and emotional processes, as well as the role of language in creating a profound cultural and philosophical atmosphere in the work. The article also addresses issues of translating interpersonal relationships through the lens of cultural codes and their impact on the perception of the text. Special attention is given to the application of various translation methods, such as calque, adaptation, and compensation, ensuring the accurate transmission of the text's cultural aspects. The study is intended for students and professionals in the field of translation theory and practice, as well as for anyone interested in psycholinguistics and cultural studies in a literary context. The findings of the research may be beneficial for further studies in the field of literary translation and psycholinguistics.
