SEMANTIC ANALYSIS OF LEXEMAS REPRESENTING THE MAIN CONCEPTS IN ENGLISH AND UZBEK HOUSEHOLD TALES

This article discusses the semantic features of lexemes that express the main concepts in English and Uzbek household tales. In this, the oppositions of “goodness and evil”, “wisdom and stupidity”, which are the main concepts of household tales, are studied from a lexical-semantic point of view and proved through examples in different languages. The main goal of the research is to study in depth the lexemes common in the household tales of the two nations from the semantic point of view. On the basis of research and analysis of examples, a conclusion is made about the semantic aspects of household tales in the compared languages and contrasting lexemes expressing their main concepts.
