GENERAL CONSIDERATIONS ON ALTERNATIVES OF MODAL WORDS IN ENGLISH

Abstract

This article is related to the use of modal words in English, and mainly covers words that have the ability to perform the functions of means of expressing modal words. Also, the rules for the use of alternatives of modal words in sentences are given and justified with examples. one is to study the problems related to the translations of the alternatives of English modal words in Uzbek. During the research, various educational methods were used. The most effective of them is the didactic method, which the main purpose of the game is a collective, focused learning activity, when each participant and the team as a whole unite by solving the main problem and direct their behavior to win. Also, the goal is to form and develop unique skills for acting in clearly defined situations. The research proved that during the teaching of modal words, to explain their alternatives based on examples, based on life situations, foreign language teachers and learners was the most convenient. The article has concluded that we can use the phrase “semi-modals” as well as modals in the complete state to express the relationship between the speaker and the listener.
