Abstract

Today, there is a decline in interest in the study of literature among secondary school students. This is due to a number of factors. In addition to the obvious laziness on the part of students and teachers, there has also been a shift from recreational reading to electronic chat in general. The article examines the value of literature as a school subject and recommends modern methods that, in our opinion, will increase the interest in teaching and studying literature at school.
