Author Guidelines

CAJLE (Central Asia Journal of Language and Education) welcomes original, unpublished research articles, case studies, review papers, and book reviews in the fields of linguistics and language education. All submitted manuscripts must not be under consideration for publication elsewhere.

Language and Length

Manuscripts must be written in English. The recommended length is between 4,000 and 8,000 words, including references. Shorter or longer submissions may be considered at the editors' discretion.

Manuscript Structure

All submissions should follow this structure: Title, Author(s) and Affiliations, Abstract, Keywords, Introduction, Literature Review, Materials and Methods, Results and Discussion, Conclusion, and References. The abstract should be between 150 and 250 words and must clearly state the purpose of the study, the methodology, key findings, and conclusions. Include 5 to 7 keywords after the abstract.

Formatting

Manuscripts should be submitted in Microsoft Word format (.doc or .docx). Use 12-point Times New Roman font with 1.5 line spacing. Figures and tables must be numbered consecutively and placed within the text. Figure captions should appear below the figures, and table captions above the tables.

References

CAJLE uses APA (American Psychological Association) citation style. References should be listed alphabetically by the first author's last name at the end of the manuscript. In the text, cite sources using the author's last name and year of publication, for example (Anvarov, 2025) or Anvarov (2025).  All references listed at the end of the paper must be cited in the text, and all in-text citations must appear in the reference list.
