LEXICAL AND SEMANTIC FEATURES OF VEGETABLE AND MELON CROPS

Abstract

This article is devoted to the lexical and semantic features of the terminology related to vegetable and melon crops. The study analyzes words and expressions used to describe various types of plants, their parts, cultivation processes, and characteristics. The peculiarities of term usage in different contexts, as well as the influence of regional and cultural factors on the formation and development of this vocabulary, are examined. Particular attention is given to changes in word meanings over time and their interaction with scientific and everyday language. The work aims to identify the patterns underlying the formation of terminological systems in agronomy and botany and to describe the semantic nuances associated with the representation of agricultural crops in the Russian language.
